Emerging British actors Maisie Richardson-Sellers and CJ Beckford are all set to feature in the cast of the film titled Run. A Bernard Kordieh directorial, Run is described as a “social impact feature film designed to start a conversation about mental health and strip away the stigma surrounding the issue.” The Rashomon Films project was shot during COVID-19 restrictions a couple of years ago.

Speaking about the film, its director Kordieh said, "Run explores the complex relationship between mental health and creativity, as our protagonist grapples with the pressure to produce great work and the emotional toll it takes on him. It also explores the complexities of relationships with no true ‘villains’ in a break-up that seeks to create a story that balances raw authenticity with magic realism on a deep and emotional level."

On the other hand, Amir Rashidian, its producer, said, "The subject hit home not just for Bernard and I, but for the cast and crew who have had either loved ones or have themselves suffered from mental health issues. This connection, despite financial and time constraints, drove us to create the most poignant film possible."

Director Kordieh is developing many other projects alongside Rashomon Films, which all reportedly delve into the human condition.

Meanwhile, his next Run is slated for a May release ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK, with an OTT release to happen immediately after it.
