Model turned actor Cara Delevingne’s Studio City-based house was mostly destroyed in a fire the other day. It left an occupant (not Delevingne) and a firefighter with minor injuries. The Los Angeles Fire Department's Nicholas Prange said that it was reported around 4:00 am on March 15.

“Firefighters arrived to find a 6,650-square-foot two-story home built in 1971, with heavy fire in the rear, which consumed one room in the rear and developed into a deep-seated attic fire,” said Prange in an official statement. “Crews confirmed all occupants were out of the home, and then pulled back into defensive mode due to the long duration of heavy fire exposing the structural members,” he added. “The house subsequently sustained a roof collapse, as firefighters continued to apply hose streams from the exterior. Ultimately, it took 94 firefighters 2 hours and 16 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames. One firefighter was transported in fair condition, and one occupant sustained minor smoke inhalation.”

According to a Deadline report, Delevingne is in London at present for her role in the West End revival of the musical Cabaret.

Responding to the news, the actor on social media wrote, “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the firefighters and people that have showed up to help.”

She made her film acting debut with Anna Karenina before appearing in a string of films, including The Face of an Angel, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, and Pan.
