Popular comedy-drama series The Bear has reportedly received an order from FX for renewing it for the fourth season.

The news comes months after the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning show was renewed for a third season by the Disney-owned cable network in November 2023. Multiple sources have confirmed to Deadline that apart from returning for the new and upcoming season, the series will also be filming back to back with season 4 in Chicago.

The Bear follows an award-winning New York City chef, Carmen, who returns to his home in Chicago to look after his family's sandwich shop. The second season follows Carmen, who, along with Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), transform their fast food joint into a fine dining restaurant.

The series is created by Chris Storer, who also serves as an executive producer along with Joanna Calo, Hiro Murai of Super Frog, Josh Senior and Matheson. Besides Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri, the series also stars Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, and Matty Matheson.

The series has featured a starry lineup of guests including Jon Bernthal, Jamie Lee Curtis, Bob Odenkirk, Will Poulter, John Mulaney, Olivia Colman, Sarah Paulson, Molly Ringwald and Joel McHale. Oliver Platt, Molly Gordon and Edwin Lee Gibson are additional recurring cast members.

The Bear will return for its third season in June and all the episodes will be dropping at once, just as they did in Seasons 1 and 2.
