Paul Thomas Anderson's next with Leonardo DiCaprio gets a release date

Earlier, we had reported that acclaimed filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson's upcoming film will feature actor Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role. It has now been learned that the yet-to-be-titled film will hit the theatres on August 8, 2025.

The film also stars Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Wood Harris, Alana Haim, and Chase Infiniti in significant roles. 

Besides directing, Paul will also serve as the film's writer and producer. The film's producing credits are also shared by Sara Murphy and Adam Somner. The film is said to be the filmmaker's most expensive project to date.

The plot details of the film are kept under wraps. However, as per speculations, the film is going to be set against a contemporary backdrop. 

It is worth mentioning that the upcoming project will mark the first time Anderson will be working with DiCaprio. Earlier, the actor was supposed to have featured in Paul's Boogie Nights in 1996. However, the role went to Mark Wahlberg since DiCaprio was shooting for Titanic.
