Owen Wilson to lead Apple's upcoming golf comedy series

Owen Wilson is all set to star in Apple TV+'s upcoming comedy series based on a golf course. Known for Loki and The Royal Tenenbaums, Wilson is also set to executive produce this untitled series for the streamer, which comes from Jason Keller, writer of Ford v Ferrari.

The series will feature Wilson as Pryce Cahill, an ex-pro golfer past his prime, whose career hit brakes 20 years ago, sooner than expected. As his wife leaves him and he gets fired from his job at Indiana sporting goods store, Pryce puts all his hopes on a talented but troubled young golfer.

The ten-part series is also executive produced by Keller, who is also known for films like Escape Plan and Machine Gun Preacher. Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris are the directors of this series, which is bankrolled by Apple Studios.

Meanwhile, Owen Wilson's next is a crime thriller called Lips Like Sugar. The film takes place in Los Angeles during the 1984 Olympics and is directed by Brantley Gutierrez.
