An exclusive clip featuring Taylor Swift performing 'Death by a Thousand Cuts' came out earlier today. This confirms the song as one of four bonus acoustic tracks included in the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film. Disney+ previously announced that 'Maroon' would also be featured in the 'surprise songs' segment of the film.
In February, Disney+ secured the streaming rights for the concert film, reportedly for over $75 million. The announcement also revealed that the Disney+ version of the film would include the song 'Cardigan' from Swift's 'Folklore' album, alongside four additional acoustic tracks. This news went down well with the singer's fans, as the concert film excludes five songs from the setlist to fit within a 2-hour, 45-minute runtime.
Filmed during the singer's residency at SoFi Stadium in LA for three nights, speculation suggested the remaining bonus songs would likely be 'Death by a Thousand Cuts,' 'I Can See You,' and 'You Are in Love'.
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour became the highest-grossing concert film ever, raking in $261.7 million worldwide after its theatrical release. A digital release followed on Swift's birthday, featuring three additional songs not included in the theatrical release: 'Wildest Dreams,' 'Long Live,' and 'The Archer'.
The Disney+ version of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour will be available to stream starting March 14 at 6 pm PT.
