Dune: Part II star Timothée Chalamet said that he would have liked to see the universes of his Bob Dylan and Austin Butler‘s Elvis Presley come together in James Mangold's next A Complete Unknown. The two actors were promoting their film Dune: Part II in a conversation with NME. During the interview, referring to the Mangold project, Butler said, "I can’t wait for that film. I wish I could be on set every day to just watch the magic happen.” In reply to his comment, Chalamet said, "I wish you were in it!. There’s an Elvis character in the Johnny Cash biopic [‘Walk the Line’]. It’s really brief, it’s very brief, but I was kind of wishing we could create a musical cinematic universe.”

Butler won a Best Actor award each at the BAFTA and Golden Globe, as well as his first Oscar nomination, for his portrayal of Preasley in the 2022 Baz Luhrmann directorial Elvis.

Chalamet plays the singer of legendary tracks like 'Like a Rolling Stone' and 'Blowin' In The Wind' in Ford v. Ferrari director Mangold's biopic. The film was announced in 2020 as Going Electric, but it has since been rechristened A Complete Unknown.
