Final Destination 6 goes on floors

Earlier, we had reported that the sixth instalment in the Final Destination franchise is in the works at Warner Bros Studios. It has now been learned that the new instalment is titled Final Destination: Bloodlines and its shooting has commenced. Hinting the same, Craig Perry, the producer of the project, shared a post on his social media handles.

Perry wrote, "After a long, hard slog through the pandemic and the strikes, Day One is finally in the can. 2025 will mark the 25th anniversary of the release of the first instalment in the franchise. To honour the occasion with another worldwide theatrical release (in IMAX, no less) is a rare and wonderful thing. I'm wholly grateful for the opportunity and humbly appreciate the sublimely talented team that has worked so hard to bring this to life. See you next year. PS: I know, I know, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines. But this is the title we've had for three years, and we're keeping it for now."

Final Destination: Bloodlines is expected to relaunch the franchise that started off with the 2000 film Final Destination.

Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam B Stein, Final Destination: Bloodlines has a script written by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor. Further details about the plot and the film's cast are yet to be revealed.

Craig Perry, who is the original franchise producer, is backing the upcoming film along with Sheila Hanahan Taylor. The project is also co-produced by Spider-Man director Jon Watts and Dianne McGunigle. Watts also shares the writing credit of the upcoming film.
