As the romantic comedy A Family Affair, starring Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman, premiered on Netflix today, Zac shared his experience of reuniting with his The Paperboy co-star.
Efron called shooting for the 2012 film, where his character falls in love with an older lady who has a thing with a convicted killer, 'fun' and 'crazy'.
He has been cast as a Hollywood actor who has tough luck with relationship and eventually woos the mother (Kidman) of his assistant (Joey King). Joining her on sets after over a decade, Efron said that the one unchanged thing is that he is 'still so enamoured with Nicole.'
A Family Affair is helmed by Richard LaGravenese who has previously helmed the heartwarming romantic film P.S. I Love You. The script for the film comes from Carrie Solomon. Liza Koshy, Kathy Bates and Shirley MacLaine round out the supporting cast of the film.
A Family Affair was initially scheduled to be released on November 17, 2023. However, the film's release was postponed due to the impact of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.
