Netflix announced the release date for part one of the sixth and final season of Cobra Kai earlier tonight. The finale of the show kicks off with the first five episodes on July 18 on Netflix. The Cobra Kai final season will have ten more episodes, which Netflix will stream as two separate parts.
The streaming service provider made the announcement through an Instagram post featuring a poster with the cast of the series, comprising William Zabka, Ralph Macchio, Gianni Decenzo, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Peyton List, Xolo MaridueƱa, Martin Kove, Alicia Hannah-Kim, and Jacob Bertrand. The trailer for the Cobra Kai finale will be out on July 1. The caption of the Instagram post reads thus: "All paths have led to this. The final battle begins July 18. Trailer drops Monday!"
Created by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, Cobra Kai is set three decades after the All Valley Karate Tournament, where a disheartened Johnny Lawrence (Zabka) looks for redemption through the new dojo Cobra Kai, sparking an old feud with his now successful rival Daniel LaRusso (Macchio).
