Marvel Studios' president Kevin Feige has disclosed some details about the forthcoming Fantastic Four film. On the official Marvel podcast, Feige mentioned that The Fantastic Four would go on floors soon after the 2024 San Diego Comic Con, besides teasing at which point of the Sacred Timeline it will occur in the MCU.
On the podcast, the studio's president never explicitly confirmed when it takes place. However, he pointed out that observant audiences have been deciphering some of the most recent promotional pictures from the film. For example, in a Valentine’s Day photograph, Ben Grimm reads the magazine Life with what seems like President Lyndon Baines Johnson at the Oval Office. Johnson's White House reign ranged from 1963 to 1969, which seemingly suggests that the film is also set in this period.
The Fantastic Four is slated for a July 25, 2025, release. Matt Shakman is directing the film, which stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn.
