On Wednesday, Netflix unveiled the trailer for the upcoming YA adaptation of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, starring Emma Myers in the lead role. Dolly Wells is the director of the series which is adapted by Poppy Cogan, writer of Red Rose. 

The trailer shows Myers as Pip-Fitz Amobi, a smart and intelligent teen who takes up a five-year-old cold murder case. When Andie Bell was murdered, everyone said her boyfriend Sal Singh did it. But an unconvinced Pip digs deeper to find the truth.

The official logline of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder reads, "Five years after the murder of a 17-year-old girl in a sleepy English town, one student is determined to uncover the truth and find the real killer."

The extended cast of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder includes Zain Iqbal, Anna Maxwell Martin, Gary Beadle, Mathew Baynton, India Lillie Davies, Rahul Pattni, Henry Ashton, Mitu Panicucci, Orla Hill, Ephraim O.P. Sampson, Carla Woodcock, Yasmin Al-Khudhairi, Jackson Bews, Jessica Webber, Matthew Khan, Georgia Aaron, Oliver Wickham, Adam Astill and Annabel Mullion.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder is adapted from Holly Jackson's eponymous novel, a bestseller which has had two sequel novels. Jackson is an executive producer on the TV adaptation. Florence Walker is producing the series which is also written by Zia Ahmed, Ajoke Ibironke and Ruby Thomas along with lead writer, Cogan.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder is all set to premiere on Netflix on August 1.
