Red One trailer: Two unlikely forces join hands to find missing Santa so Christmas is not cancelled

The trailer for Red One, starring JK Simmons, Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson was unveiled by makers on Tuesday. Jake Kasdan directed the film from a Chris Morgan screenplay.

The trailer shows Simmons as Santa Claus, Nick or Red One, who is abducted by evil forces. Dwayne is Callum Drift an E.L.F, meaning Extremely Large and Formidable being, who pairs up with Jack O'Malley, a crooked bounty hunter to bring back Santa so Christmas is not cancelled. The trailer promises a comedy-filled action adventure with exotic visuals of otherworldly creatures.

 The logline of Red One reads thus: "After a shocking abduction from the North Pole, the Commander of the E.L.F. Task Force must partner with the world’s most infamous bounty hunter to save Christmas."

The film also stars Bonnie Hunt, Kiernan Shipka, Lucy Liu, Kristofer Hivju, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Nick Kroll, and Wesley Kimmel. Kasdan and Morgan are also producing the film, alongside Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, Johnson, and Melvin Mar. Red One is slated for a November 15 release in theatres.
