Here distributor Sony Pictures Entertainment released the official trailer for Robert Zemeckis' film, which reunites the filmmaker with his Forrest Gump stars Tom Hanks and Robin Wright as well as co-writer Eric Roth. Zemeckis directed the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Roth, based on Richard McGuire's eponymous graphic novel. According to the official logline, “Here is an original film about multiple families and a special place they inhabit. The story travels through generations, capturing the human experience in its purest form.”
It is billed as “a tale of love, loss, laughter, and life.”
Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly, Michelle Dockery, Gwilym Lee, David Fynn, and Ophelia Lovibond are also part of the cast. It also features digitally de-aged versions of Hanks and Wright, thanks to a recent partnership between the Hollywood organisation CAA and the AI technology company Metaphysic. The plot, set in the same place of residence, traverses many decades, which the trailer suggests through its time-lapse photography and montages. The trailer shows the younger versions of Hanks and Wright's characters, giving the audience a warm and fuzzy feeling similar to the actors' 1994 Zemeckis film Forrest Gump.
Zemeckis also produced the film, alongside Jack Rapke, Bill Block, and Derek Hogue. Here is slated for a November 15 release in theatres.
