The trailer of the upcoming horror-thriller Heretic, starring Hugh Grant, Chloe East, and Sophie Thatcher, was released on Tuesday.

The trailer video first shows the Mormon missionaries, played by Chloe East and Sophie Thatcher, who go about propagating the teachings of Jesus Christ. One day, when the weather got better of them, they knocked on the door of Hugh Grant's character, who comes across as a harmless individual at the first glance, for shelter. The women find they are trapped in his house and an intense series of psychological games ensues. He tells the missionaries to plan their escape either by choosing the 'BELIEF' or the 'DISBELIEF' door shaking their very foundation.

The film, co-written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, is produced by A24.

It is noteworthy that Woods and Beck penned the screenplay for John Krasinski's thriller A Quiet Place, as well as co-wrote and directed the Stephen King adaptation The Boogeyman, the Adam Driver starrer dinosaur film 65, and the 2019 horror film Haunt.

Heretic is slated to release later this year.

On the other hand, Hugh Grant was last seen in Unfrosted, and he will next be featured in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.
