Taika Waititi on Time Bandits: My favourite comic actor is in it

Jojo Rabbit and Thor: Ragnarok filmmaker Taika Waititi recently talked about his web series Time Bandits, based on director Terry Gilliam's 1981 film of the same name. Speaking to a Rotten Tomatoes correspondent, Waititi said, "I can tell you that it has my favourite comic actor in the world, Lisa Kudrow. The cast is great, and the plot deals with concepts such as time travel and quantum leaps. But it also has jokes."

Waititi serves as one of the creators of Time Bandits, the others being Jemaine Clement and Iain Morris. The show stars Kal-El Tuck, Tadhg Murphy, Roger Jean Nsengiyumva, Rune Temte, Charlyne Yi, Rachel House, Kiera Thompson, and James Dryden, among others. The plot follows teenager Kevin (Kal-El Tuck) whose affinity for history goes through its sternest test as he joins a team of time travelers on an adventurous and risky heist mission.

Time Bandits is slated to release on Apple TV+ on July 24.

On the other hand, Waititi's last directorial was Next Goal Wins and next one will be Klara and the Sun.
