We had earlier reported that Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas had joined hands for an upcoming musical comedy titled Power Ballad. The latest to join the cast of the film is Havana Rose Liu, best known for her roles in Bottoms and No Exit.
The film will be directed by John Carney, who has previously helmed musical comedies such as Begin Again, Sing Street, and Flora and Son.
Power Ballad, which is currently in production in Dublin, also stars Jack Reynor in a key role. Details regarding the plot are under wraps but the film is described as an uplifting, music-driven story about a wedding singer, a rock star, and the song that comes between them. Backed by 30West and Anthony Bregman's Likely Story, the film has a script Carney co-wrote with Peter McDonald.
