Putting an end to the speculation that pop singer Taylor Swift will join the Marvel film Deadpool & Wolverine, reports have squarely dismissed the claims.
Rumours were rife since October that Swift will be seen on-screen alongside Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. The recently released poster by IMAX, where the two title heroes were seen wearing friendship bracelets resembling the ones that became popular in Swift's Eras Tour, gave raise to the existing rumours.
The rumour was kept alive by the Swifties and Marvel fans as Jackman and Reynolds were seen attending NFL games along with director Shawn Levy and Swift.
It is also worth noting that Reynolds has been friends with Taylor Swift for several years, thanks to his wife and singer Blake Lively.
The film directed by Shawn Levy, is written by Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Teese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells and Shawn Levy. Deadpool & Wolverine is backed by Kevin Feige, Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy and Lauren Shuler Donner.
The star cast of the film also includes Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni and Matthew Macfadyen. That apart, cinematographer George Richmond, editors Shane Reid and Dean Zimmerman, and music composer Rob Simonsen make up the technical crew.
Deadpool & Wolverine is slated to be released on July 26.
