Animation veteran Jill Culton joins forces with Jon M Chu as the co-director of the animation adaptation of Dr. Seuss' Oh, the Places You'll Go!

Culton, in her 30-year experience, debuted with The Princess and the Cobbler in 1993. Her works include Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2 (1999), Shrek (2001), Shrek Forever After (2010), Monsters Inc. (2001), and Abominable (2019).

Another development from the film is that Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will write original songs for the adaptation. Their body of works includes The Greatest Showman, Spirited, and La La Land.

Dr. Seuss' final book will form the basis of the screenplay penned by Rob Lieber. The story will be an animated musical that follows a young adventurer through a person's ups and downs in life.

The film, made under the collaboration of Bad Robot and Dr. Seuss Enterprises, will be produced by Bad Robot's JJ Abrams along with the company's Head of Motion Pictures, Hannah Minghella.
