Practical Magic stars Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock are in talks to come back for a sequel to the 1998 romantic fantasy film, Warner Bros announced earlier today. Akiva Goldsman, the screenwriter of the original, is also expected to return for the sequel. Plot details are not revealed yet, but anticipation for the sequel is simmering. Kidman and Bullock will expectantly produce the film with Practical Magic's Denise Di Novi.

Based on Alice Hoffman's 1995 novel, Practical Magic follows two orphaned sisters brought up by their aunts who wholeheartedly embrace the magical side of life. The original film, directed by Griffin Dunne, also boasts stellar performances by Stockard Channing, Aidan Quinn, and Dianne Wiest. It grossed over $68 million from theatres worldwide.

Kidman is part of Expats, the miniseries on Amazon Prime Video, and is next slated to star opposite Joey King and Zac Efron in Netflix's rom-com A Family Affair. Her future projects are a mix of genres, including the Netflix murder mystery show The Perfect Couple, the Amazon show Kay Scarpetta, and the thriller feature Holland, Michigan.

Fresh off blockbusters like The Lost City and Bullet Train, Bullock has also garnered acclaim for her work in Netflix's Bird Box and The Unforgivable.
