Channing Tatum released the poster of his character for his upcoming film Blink Twice late last night. The poster comes about a month after the release of the trailer for the film and shows Tatum's character with a Polaroid camera and giving a creepy stare. The film revolves around the mysterious events at a fundraiser hosted by Tatum's billionaire character, Slater King. He invites Naomi Ackie's Frida to attend the fundraiser on a private island with him and his friends. Everyone is having a great time until strange events take place, making Frida and some others wonder whether it is safe to be on the island.
The trailer hints at a thriller similar to the Knives Out series with a killer on the loose. It also shows the discovery of a bunch of Polaroid photographs involving women (read trophies). Add to that, the poster shows Frida's picture with blood on it. Could it all be the doings of Tatum's Slater King?
The film marks the directorial debut of Zoe Kravitz, best known for playing Selina Kyle in 2022's The Batman. She directed the film from a screenplay she co-wrote with ET Feigenbaum. Besides Tatum and Ackie, the film stars Christian Slater, Simon Rex, Adria Arjona, Kyle MacLachlan, Haley Joel Osment, Geena Davis, and Alia Shawkat.
Tatum and Kravitz are also the producers of the film, alongside Bruce Cohen, Tiffany Persons, and Garret Levitz. Amazon MGM Studios is the distributor.
Blink Twice will hit theatres worldwide on August 23.
