
Josh Charles, known for The Veil and The Good Wife, is set to join the cast of Hulu's show The Handmaid's Tale for its sixth and final season. The Handmaid's Tale finale starts production later this year. Charles and The Handmaid’s Tale star Elisabeth Moss previously worked together on The Veil. The show is based on Margaret Atwood's novel The Handmaid's Tale and depicts life in the dystopian Gilead. The story follows June Osbourne/Offred (Moss), a fertile woman forced to bear children for powerful commanders. Season five ends with the murder of Commander Waterford (Joseph Fiennes), leaving June to face consequences and redefine her life.
In the meantime, Commander Lawrence works with Nick and Aunt Lydia to reform Gilead and gain power. June, Luke, and Moira continue their fight against Gilead from Canada. The series stars Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Bradley Whitford, Max Minghella, Ann Dowd, Madeline Brewer, Amanda Brugel, Sam Jaeger, and Ever Carradine.
Charles earned two Emmy award nominations for his role in The Good Wife. He recently appeared in the films Memory and "Mother's Instinct and the Taylor Swift music video for Fortnight.
