Mimi Rogers and Cemre Paksoy are set to star in the upcoming film Night Nurse, marking the feature directorial debut of Georgia Bernstein. The film unfolds within the confines of a secluded retirement community, in which a wide-eyed nurse finds herself drawn in by a series of unsettling prank calls. To her shock, she discovers that the culprit is none other than her own patient, a con artist. Their initial innocent flirtation spirals into a deceptive game. Eddie Linker, Alex Phillips, and Lucy Rogers are on board as producers of Night Nurse, which is set to go on floors this October.
"Night Nurse inhabits the central fantasy that allures the victim to their scammer. Unrealised desires drive my characters to trust the untrustworthy and to risk everything,” said Lucy Rogers in a recent statement. "The script's provocative and noirish atmosphere immediately captivated me. I jumped at the chance to be involved from the very beginning," she added.
Mimi Rogers is recognised for her role in the Amazon Prime Video series Bosch and its spin-off Bosch: Legacy. Her independent project, Adult Children, alongside Breaking Bad star Betsy Brandt, is scheduled for a 2024 release.
Paksoy has garnered acclaim for her roles in dramas like As the Crow Flies, which became Turkey's most-watched Netflix series upon release. The Istanbul-based actor received national recognition for her work in The Affair, the Turkish adaptation of the American series.
Bernstein is most popular for producing the critically acclaimed 2022 title All Jacked Up and Full of Worms.
