Running On Empty trailer: Living life with a countdown till death

The trailer for Running on Empty, starring Keir Gilchrist and Lucy Hale in lead roles, was unveiled by the makers on Monday. Billed to be a quirky romantic comedy, the film is directed by Daniel André.

The trailer shows Keir Gilchrist as Mortimer who lives in a world in which you can know your death date. Having very little time on Earth, Mortimer decides to finally live life. He gets together with Lucy Hal's character, who also has only limited time on Earth. However, she is not the ideal match he had in mind.

The official synopsis of Running on Empty reads, "Mortimer is an odd but clever young man living a lukewarm existence in California’s San Fernando Valley until he receives some life-changing news. Determined to make the most of every day, Mort sets out on a spirited quest to find meaning in his existence and discovers the girl of his dreams along the way."

The cast of Running on Empty also includes Francesca Eastwood, Rhys Coiro, Jay Pharoah, Dustin Milligan, Dylan Flashner, Lisa Yaro, Monica Potter, and Jim Gaffigan.

Running on Empty is all set to hit theatres on August 9.
