Actor Regina King is all set to join Austin Butler and Zoë Kravitz in the upcoming film Caught Stealing, directed by Darren Aronofsky. Touted to be a crime thriller, the film is based on the book by Charlie Huston.
The story, as per the logline, follows Hank Thompson, a burned-out former baseball player, who’s unwittingly plunged into a wild fight for survival in the downtown criminal underworld of 1990s New York City. Details on King's role has not been disclosed.
Aronofsky’s Protozoa Pictures, is producing the film, alongside his partner Ari Handel. They have worked together previously in Aronofsky's π, Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, The Wrestler, Black Swan, Noah, Mother! and The Whale.
King, an Academy Award winner who has also won several other accolades, was last seen in Netflix's Shirley. She has also won four Emmys for her work on series including Watchmen, American Crime, and Seven Seconds. Most recently, King is executive producing and directing the David E. Kelley–written television series A Man in Full for Netflix, based on the Tom Wolfe novel of the same name.
