The long-delayed third season of Zendaya-led series Euphoria is all set to begin shooting in January 2025. All the principal cast members are returning for the new season which is also expected to see a time jump between the second and third season.

Euphoria Season 3 will go into production in January 2025,” the makers wrote on the official handle of the Emmy-winning show.

“I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on Euphoria in January. We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of ‘Euphoria’ to life for the fans,” said Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO programming and head of HBO drama series and films to The Hollywood Reporter.

The series follows Rue Bennett (Zendaya), a troubled teenage drug addict who struggles to get sober, find her place in the world, and adjust to her relationships after rehab.

Apart from Zendaya, the series also stars Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith and Sydney Sweeney in main roles.

The first season premiered in June 2019 and the second season launched in January 2022, with two one-hour specials airing in December 2020 and January 2021. The series is written by Sam Levinson for HBO and is based on the Israeli miniseries of the same name created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin. Zendaya and Levinson are also executive producers on the show.
