The trailer for the upcoming drama film, The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat, was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. The film, directed by Tina Mabry and written by Mabry and Cee Marcellus, is based on the 2013 eponymous novel by Edward Kelsey Moore.

The trailer shows three friends, Odette Henry, Barbara Jean Maxberry and Clarice Baker as childhood friends who have been by each other through thick and thin, literally.

The film's official synopsis reads, "The film follows lifelong best friends Odette (Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor), Barbara Jean (Sanaa Lathan), and Clarice (Uzo Aduba) known as “The Supremes”, who share the unbreakable bonds of sisterhood from decades of weathering life’s storms. Through the joys and sorrows of life, marriage and children, happiness and blues, love and loss, new shades of heartbreak and illness threaten to stir up the past when the trio sees their bond put to the test as they face their most challenging times yet."

Kyanna Simone, Tati Gabrielle, Abigail Achiri, Mekhi Phifer, Dijon Means, Julian McMahon, Ryan Paynter, Vondie Curtis-Hall and more also star in The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat. It is scheduled to be released by Searchlight Pictures on Hulu on August 23.
