11 years after the first Conjuring film released, Warner Bros has revealed the release date for the fourth and final Conjuring film. The yet-to-be-titled film in the horror franchise, which includes prequel, sequel and spinoff films, is scheduled to be released in theatres on September 5, 2025.
The film will be directed by Michael Chavez, who has previously helmed 2021’s The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It and the 2023 Conjuring spinoff The Nun II. Screenwriter David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick has written the script for the upcoming film.
Directed by James Wan and produced by Peter Safran, 2013’s The Conjuring established the franchise’s mythology, following paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) as they work to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in their farmhouse.
Over the last decade, a number of sequels, spin-offs and prequels have followed, including The Conjuring 2, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, Annabelle and its sequels, The Nun and its sequel, and The Curse of La Llorona.
Details regarding the plot and cast details are currently under wraps.
