The trailer for Duchess, starring Charlotte Kirk and Colm Meaney in lead roles, was unveiled on Monday. Directed by Neil Marshall and written by him along with Kirk and Simon Farr, the film is all set to release on August 9.

The trailer of Duchess shows Kirk as Scarlett, a tough, petty criminal, who is introduced into the diamond-smuggling underworld by her lover, Frank (Meaney). She is then forced to become a tougher villain to survive in the dark world.

The logline of Duchess reads, "Follows a tough, working-class, petty criminal who morphs into an anti-heroine to be reckoned with in a murky underworld, in the treacherous world of diamond smuggling."

Sean Pertwee, Stephanie Beacham, Colin Egglesfield, Philip Winchester, Yan Tual, David Chevers, Hoji Fortuna, Alex Morgan, Boris Martinez and Judy Donovan also star in Duchess, among others.
