The makers of the upcoming Brad Pitt starrer, directed by Joseph Kosinski, shared the first poster for the film, confirming F1 as its title. Apple Original Films also revealed that they would drop a sneak peek into the film during the Formula 1 British Grand Prix this Sunday. The film also stars Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo. Pitt plays erstwhile Formula One driver Sonny Hayes who returns to the sport as a member of the fictional APXGP team, with Idris' character Joshua Pearce as his teammate. According to reports, Javier Bardem plays the owner of the aforesaid team and a friend of Sonny Hayes.
F1 is filmed with IMAX cameras in real Formula One locations. Pitt, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton serve as the co-producers. Warner Bros. Pictures will release the film in theatres worldwide on June 25, 2025, and two days later in North America.
Pitt was last seen in 2022's Babylon, directed by Damien Chazelle and also starring Margot Robbie, Diego Calva, Jean Smart, and Jovan Adepo, among others. His upcoming films also include director Jon Watts' Wolfs, alongside actors like George Clooney and Amy Ryan, among others.
