Anne Hathaway's upcoming Prime Video film, The Idea of You, is all set to have its world premiere at the closing night of the SXSW film and TV festival, the streamer announced on Tuesday. The film joins other films like Ryan Gosling's The Fall Guy, and Jake Gyllenhaal's Road House, which will be the opening film of the festival.
Alongside Hathaway, The Idea Of You will also star Nicholas Galitzine, who was last seen in Prime Video's Red, White and Royal Blue. The film is adapted from Robinne Lee's novel of the same name and revolves around a middle-aged woman, who falls for a singer in his 20s, from her daughter's favourite band.
The film is said to be based on Harry Styles, the One Direction singer. However, these reports are not confirmed by the makers.
Michael Showalter has directed the upcoming romantic-comedy film from a screenplay by Jennifer Westfeldt. Ella Rubin, Reid Scott, Jordan Aaron, Jaiden Anthony, Raymond Cham, and Viktor White among others form the supporting cast of the film.
The Idea of You will premiere on Prime Video in 2024.
