Trailer of Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action series out

The 2005 action series Avatar: The Last Airbender was one of the popular animated shows on Nickelodeon. Created by Albert Kim, the official trailer of the upcoming series was dropped by the makers on Tuesday.

With a cloudy sky in the background, the visually stunning 2.28-minute-long teaser opens with a massive ship navigating the ocean currents. “The Fire Nation is embarked on a dark path. And the world might never recover. It needs you Aang," says the narrator in the background.

With remarkable fight scenes between the Airbenders, Waterbenders and Firebenders, the trailer introduces us to Cormier’s Aang as he reluctantly embraces destiny. We see him join Katara and Sokka on the quest to rise up against the Fire Nation. It also shows Aang facing a dilemma. However, with the help of his newfound allies, he rises and declares, “I’m the Avatar and I’m going to save the world.”

Avatar: The Last Airbender revolves around four nations who were harmonious with the master of four elements, Avatar keeping peace. However when Fire Nation attacks and wipes out Air Nomads, in comes Aang, a young Air Nomad, and the last of his kind, who comes to reclaim his rightful place as the next Avatar.

In addition to Cormier as Aang, Katara is played by Kiawentiio while Ian Ousley plays Sokka and Dallas Liu plays Zuko. The cast also includes Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as General Iroh. The first season will consist of eight episodes.

Albert Kim will serve as the showrunner and executive producer of Avatar: The Last Airbender, along with Jabbar Raisani, Dan Lin, Lindsey Liberatore, and Michael Goi.
