Coronation Street and Doctor Who fame British actor Michelle Collins is all set to headline the upcoming horror thriller, The Haunting of Helen's Bridge.
Stephen Presly is helming the film, which he has co-written with Gemma Esau. The film, which recently concluded principal photography, delves deep into the urban legend regarding the Helen's Mountain and its notorious bridge in Asheville, North Carolina.
The Haunting of Helen's Bridge revolves around the malicious spirit of the titular Helen, who dies by tying a noose around her neck and hanging herself from the bridge, overwhelmed by the loss of her child. The film will also feature actual paranormal footage.
As per a report on Variety, Collins said, "I’ve never been in a horror genre movie before, so I was thrilled when this opportunity came along. Despite initially being worried about having nightmares after the filming, I genuinely enjoyed the whole experience, and I’d love to make another horror now. I can’t wait for people to watch it.”
Djonny Chen of Silen D Pictures is backing The Haunting of Helen's Bridge along with Presley for Grimm Pictures and Kacmar. The film will hit theatres in 2025.
