Pinocchio is no longer the happy doll that audiences have grown up with. The makers of Pinocchio: Unstrung have officially announced the film while sharing the first look at the film.
The first look sneak peek shows a sketch of Geppetto's workshop with a wooden workbench, tools, and dolls where Pinocchio is seated in front of an axe. The creepy picture has grabbed a lot of eyeballs for its terrifying take on the nostalgic character.
As per reports, the horror film is the latest project from the team behind Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, Bambi: The Reckoning, and the upcoming Blood and Honey 2.
The sneak peek is an apparent concept artwork of Pinocchio as he will appear in the film, and it will be shown during the end credits of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 to tease Pinocchio: Unstrung. The artwork and title logo were first published by Bloody Disgusting.
The cast and crew of Pinocchio: Unstrung are yet to be announced. Rhys Frake-Waterfield and Scott Jeffrey are producing. The film is set to begin filming this summer with hopes of hitting theatres by the end of 2024.
