The trailer of Abigail, the upcoming horror film from Universal Pictures, was released by the makers recently. The film is set to hit the theatres on April 19.
Helmed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett who go by the name Radio Silence, Abigail is about a group of kidnappers whose latest victim, Abigail, is a vampire. It is written by Stephen Shields
“After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated mansion, the captors start to dwindle, one by one, and they discover, to their mounting horror, that they’re locked inside with no normal little girl,” reads the official synopsis.
Abigail stars Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, William Catlett, Kevin Durand, and Angus Cloud, and Alisha Weir in the titular role.
The film produced by William Sherak, Paul Neinstein and James Vanderbilt under Project X Entertainment. The executive producers are Ron Lynch and Macdara Kelleher.
