Amanda Knox, American author, activist and journalist, is reportedly set to make a limited series for Hulu on her story of wrongful conviction. She was wrongfully convicted for the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher. The series will focus on her 16-year-long journey to set herself free.
The untitled series will be executive produced by Knox along with Emmy-winning producer Warren Littlefield known for Fargo and The Handmaid's Tale, and Monica Lewinsky. The makers are yet to find an actor to play the lead in the series. Additionally, KJ Steinberg known for This is Us, will write the series along with executive producing.
Before being acquitted for the 2007 murder of Kercher, a fellow exchange student with whom she shared an apartment in Perugia, Knox spent almost four years incarcerated in Italy. In her memoir in 2013 titled Waiting to be Heard, she wrote about the experience. Further, she also featured in Netflix's 2016 documentary, Amanda Know. The case was also featured in Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy.
