Josh Hutcherson, who starred in one of 2023 biggest releases - the horror video game adaptation Five Nights At Freddy's, confirmed that a second season of the film is at the works. The film which saw the actor play the character Mike Schmidt, earned more than $250 million at the box office. 

“I know they’re in the process right now of nailing down the story, and they want to get going as soon as possible,” Hutcherson, who is currently on the press circuit for his upcoming movie, The Beekeeper, old Variety. “Obviously, the fans are amazing and die-hard. For me to be a part of it was so cool and phenomenal.

“We hoped it would connect with audiences,” he continued. “But I don’t think that anybody, even on our side of things, expected it to really connect the way that it did. I’m dying to get back on set. Emma Tammi, our director, was fantastic, and it was such a fun world to play in. I’m excited to see what they are doing next.”

From director Emma Tammi, we follow Mike (Hutcherson), who begins working at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza as a security guard. During his first night on the job, he realizes that the night shift won't be so easy to get through. Pretty soon he will unveil what actually happened at Freddy's. The film is adapted from the video game series of the same name created by Scott Cawthon. 

Five Nights At Freddy's, which was released in theatres and on Peacock on October 27, 2023, stars Josh Hutcherson, Matthew Lillard, Mary Stuart Masterson, Elizabeth Lail and Kat Conner Sterling. Directed by Emma Tammi and produced by Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon.
