Steve Yeun drops out of Marvel's Thunderbolts

Steven Yeun, who was reportedly a part of the cast of Marvel's Thunderbolts, has dropped out of the project due to scheduling conflicts. The film's production was delayed due to the actor's and writers strikes in Hollywood.

Thunderbolts is a film that brings together a group of anti-heroes from the MCU to save the world. The film's production is set to begin in April this year. Thunderbolts is expected to be more than a superhero film as it brings together the unique Marvel characters played by David Harbour, Florence Pugh, and Sebastian Stan.

While Sebastian Stan returns as Bucky, Florence Pugh plays Yelena Belova, David Harbour plays Alexei Shostakov aka Red Guardian, and Olga Kurylenko plays Antonia Dreykov aka the Taskmaster reprising their roles from the Black Widow film. This film will serve as the official Black Widow sequel.

The cast further includes Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Notably, Harrison Ford will make an appearance as Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross, who’ll join the MCU in Captain America: Brave New World

The film is set to be helmed by Jake Schreier, from a script penned by Black Widow writer Eric Pearson. Thunderbolts is set for a July 25, 2025, release date worldwide.
