Challengers Trailer: Zendaya is a badass tennis coach who puts herself first

The trailer of Zendaya's Challengers was unveiled on Wednesday.  Also starring Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor, the film is helmed by Luca Guadagnino. The film is set to hit the theatres on April 26, 2024.

The trailer shows how Zendaya's Tashi is forced to quit tennis after a knee injury. Already badass, Tashi then becomes more confident, as she coaches not one, but two Tennis players. The film promises a heavy mix of sports, romance, fantasy, desire and more.

As per Challengers's official logline, the film revolves around, " Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy-turned-coach and a force of nature who makes no apologies for her game on and off the court. Married to a champion on a losing streak (Mike Faist), Tashi’s strategy for her husband’s redemption takes a surprising turn when he must face off against the washed-up Patrick (Josh O’Connor)—his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend. As their pasts and presents collide, and tensions run high, Tashi must ask herself, what will it cost to win?"

Written by Justin Kuritzkes, Challengers is produced by Guadagnino and Zendaya, along with Rachel O'Connor and Amy Pascal.
