Jennifer Garner in line to feature opposite Matt Damon in Animals

Actress Jennifer Garner is in negotiations with the producers of actor Ben Affleck's next directorial venture titled Animals. If she gets the role, she would star opposite actor Matt Damon in the Netflix crime thriller. This is the first time since last year's Air that long-time friends Affleck and Damon are coming together for what is expected to be a direct-to-streaming release. Damon and Affleck are also co-producing the film through their banner Artists Equity, alongside its creative president Dani Bernfeld, and Collin Creighton and Brad Weston of MakeReady.

Connor McIntyre writes the film that revolves around the kidnapping of a prospective mayor and his spouse. Damon is playing the mayoral candidate role in the film, while Garner is expected to feature opposite him as his wife. Garner’s deal is still in the works, but if goes through, Animals could go on floors this March in Los Angeles.
