Harlan Coben reunites with Fool Me Once showrunner for drama at Amazon

The team behind Netflix's Fool Me Once is reuniting for a new series, this time for Amazon. Titled Lazarus the limited series comes from Harlan Coben and Danny Brocklehurst.

Sam Claflin will star as a forensic psychologist who gets entangled in a set of cold murder cases when he returns home after his father's suicide. The drama will also star Bill Nighy as the protagonist's father and Alexandra Roach as Clafin's sister.

Best-selling author Coben and Brocklehurst, who came up with the original idea are also writing the series together. The limited series marks Coben's second collaboration with Prime Video, after last year's Shelter.

As per a report in The Hollywood Reporter, Coben said, "Do I have to say more than the names Sam Claflin, Bill Nighy, and Alexandra Roach to express my excitement about this limited series? Lazarus is a story of loss, redemption — and the eternal bond between a parent and a child, even after death. It is never anything less than a thrill to team up again with Danny Brocklehurst and Quay Street Productions.”

Coben and Brocklehurst have worked together before on Stay Close and The Stranger both at Netflix, along with Fool Me Once. They will executive produce Lazarus along with Claflin, Quay Street Productions' Nicola Shindler and Richard Fee, and Wayne Che Yip who will be directing the first two episodes. Matt Stevens is one of the producers.

Lazarus is produced by Quay Street Productions and Amazon MGM, along with Coben's Final Twist Productions.
