On Sunday evening, Taylor Swift received her 13th Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights. Immediately after winning, she went on to announce the release date of her next album, The Tortured Poets Department.
On winning the award, Taylor said, “My lucky number (13), I don’t know if I ever told you that. I know the way the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans. So, I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand new album comes out on April 19. It’s called The Tortured Poets Department. I’m going to go post the cover right now. Thank you I love you!”
Midnights, Swift's 10th studio album, came out in October 2022. It sold one million copies in one week, making it her fifth such album. Another song, 'Karma' was also nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, as it featured Ice Spice. So far, Swift has received 52 Grammy nominations throughout her career.
