The action thriller The Neglected is all set to star Josh Duhamel, Dylan Sprouse, and Til Schweiger in lead roles. The lead actors, known for Shotgun Wedding, The Duel, and Inglorious Basterds, respectively, have wrapped filming for the Mississippi production. The film is co-written, directed, and produced by David Lipper (Murder at Hollow Creek).
On the last day of work for Detective Shaw (Duhamel) before his retirement, he discovers his son buried alive by a serial murderer in the film. He then rushes to prevent three more murders from happening while also finding his son before he runs out of air.
The Neglected, co-written by Adam G Levine and Lipper, also stars Jeremy and Jason London and Elena Sanchez. Robert A. Daly Jr. for Latigo, along with Mark Canton (300), Dorothy Canton, Denise Loren, Mark Fasano, and Ryan Winterstern, produce the film alongside Levine and Lipper. Roman Kopelevich, Justin Levine, Timothy Alek Mulley, and Kimberly Hines are the film's executive producers.
Duhamel has Netflix's Ransom Canyon, Full Throttle Mindset, and Not Without Hope in the pipeline. He was last seen in Shotgun Wedding, starring alongside Jennifer Lopez. His action comedy, London Calling, had its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this year.
Sprouse, who has The Duel, Aftermath, and Under Fire coming up, is known for his work in After We Collided, Beautiful Disaster, and Beautiful Wedding. Schweiger, last seen in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, also has Atomic Blonde in his credits.
