
While it was earlier reported that Ryan Coogler-Michael B Jordan's Sinners will be releasing next on March 7. The latest update from the makers is that the release date has been moved a bit further to April 18.
Jordan and Coogler have previously worked on films like Fruitvale Station (2013), Creed (2015), and Black Panther (2018). The film is produced by Coogler and frequent collaborators Sev Ohanian and Zinzi Coogler. Jordan was last seen reprising his role of Adonis in the third installment of the Creed franchise in 2022.
The previously released trailer of the film shows Michael B Jordan playing twin brothers who leave their unenviable past behind and return to hometown expecting an optimistic change in their lives. However, they are faced with a greater evil.
The film, based on an original script by Coogler, is set in the 1930s South during the Jim Crow era and may incorporate both vampires and magical Southern supernatural traditions.
Apart from Jordan, the ensemble cast of Sinners also includes stars like Jack O’Connell, Delroy Lindo, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, and Wunmi Mosaku.
