
After Mason Gooding and Neve Campbell, it has been announced that Courteney Cox is also set to reprise her role in the upcoming seventh installment in the Scream franchise. The actor will be back as Gale Weathers in Scream 7.
The star-studded cast also includes Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Sam Rechner, and the recently added Anna Camp. While Neve Campbell is set to return as scream queen Sidney Prescott, Mason Gooding reprises his role as her fellow Ghostface killer, survivor Chad Meeks-Martin. Debutant Isabel May plays Sidney's daughter.
There have been multiple changes in the cast and crew for Scream 7, including the exit of Christopher Landon as its director. Since then, Kevin Williamson, the creator of Scream and the screenwriter of the 1996 Wes Craven directorial that launched the franchise, has been directing the film from a Guy Busick screenplay. Plot details are also yet to be announced.
The 2022 Scream reboot's producers, James Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein, and William Sherak, are producing the film under the banner Project X Entertainment. The makers are yet to disclose its plot details.
Scream 7 is slated for a February 27, 2026, release through Paramount Pictures.
Last seen in Scream VI, Cox currently has the television series Last Chance U in the pipeline.
