Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have taken a major step in their relationship by announcing their engagement after dating for over a year.
On Thursday, Gomez, shared a post on Instagram revealing her engagement ring, captioning the post, "Forever begins now." Blanco, also expressed his excitement in the comments section, humorously writing, "Hey wait... that's my wife."
Gomez and Blanco publicly confirmed their relationship in December 2023, although they had been together privately for six months before making it official. The duo have been close collaborators in the industry and worked together on several hit songs including Gomez's 2015 chart-topping track 'Same Old Love', 2019's 'I Can't Get Enough' and then for her 2023 single 'Single Soon'. In a heartfelt Instagram post at the time, Gomez referred to Blanco as "my absolute everything" and declared that he had been "the best thing that's ever happened to me."
They’ve since been spotted together at major events, including the Golden Globes, Primetime Emmys, and courtside at a basketball game between the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers in April.
Gomez has had a remarkable 2024. She earned the Best Actress award alongside her Emilia Perez co-stars Karla Sofía Gascón, Adriana Paz, and Zoe Saldana at the Cannes Film Festival.
The actor also received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Hulu's Only Murders in the Building.
This week, Gomez received two Golden Globe nominations -- one for her performance in Emilia Perez and another for Only Murders in the Building.
