Jeremy Allen White to voice Rotta the Hutt in The Mandalorian & Grogu

The latest addition to the star cast of The Mandalorian & Grogu is Jeremy Allen White. He will be lending his voice to Jabba the Hutt's son, Rotta the Hutt, in the Jon Favreau film.

White's current project, Deliver Me From Nowhere, a biopic of Bruce Springsteen with writer-director Scott Cooper, is under progress. White, who made his debut with Beautiful Ohio (2006), went on to star in films like Twelve (2010), Rob the Mob (2014), After Everything (2018) and Fremont (2023). However, his big break came in the form of the American psychological comedy drama TV series The Bear (2022-present), for which he won multiple awards, including the Golden Globe, Primetime Emmy Awards and Television Critics Association Awards. As Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto in The Bear, White plays a chef who wants to take over his late brother's restaurant.

The Mandolorian & Grogu, made from the screenplay of Dave Filoni, also stars Pedro Pascal (as Mando) and Sigourney Weaver in an undisclosed role. The film is set to be released in theatres on May 22, 2026, seven years after the last Star Wars film, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, in 2019.
