
After a long wait, the makers of Euphoria have announced the release date of its upcoming third season. Warner Bros. Discovery global streaming chief JB Perrette announced that the popular drama, starring Zendaya in the lead, will premiere in 2026.
The news was revealed during a tech and media conference hosted by Wells Fargo where premiere windows of other upcoming HBO series including Game of Thrones prequel A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and The White Lotus season 3. While the latter, written and directed by Sam Levinson will be released in February 2025, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is set to air in late 2025.
Euphoria’s second season received critical praise, but season three had to face several issues due to the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. When shooting begins in January, a few prominent faces will be missing, notably Angus Cloud, who died in July 2023, and Storm Reid, who recently announced her departure from the series. The rest of the cast, including Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and Hunter Schafer, are expected to return.
Additionally, Emmy-winning anthology series The White Lotus, written and created by Mike White, will come back with a third season which will be set in Thailand. The cast features Natasha Rothwell, Walton Goggins, Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, and Blackpink’s Lisa.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight will arrive in late 2025. The prequel is based on Martin‘s Dunk & Egg fantasy novellas and takes place roughly 100 years before Game of Thrones. It tells the story of Ser Duncan the Tall, who will be played by Peter Claffey and his squire Aegon V Targaryen, also known as Dunk and Egg, portrayed by Dexter Sol Ansell.
Perrette also mentioned that HBO's highly anticipated Harry Potter TV series, originally scheduled for a 2026 release and currently in the casting process for the roles of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, is now expected to premiere in 2027.
