
On Tuesday, Priyanka Chopra took to her official Instagram handle to announce that she has wrapped filming for Citadel season 2. She stars alongside Richard Madden in the spy series.
Sharing BTS photos from the sets of the series, Priyanka wrote, "A few days late but I’ve been on a roller coaster. We wrapped Citadel season 2. This year has been a whirlwind for me but to be surrounded by so much love and support makes everything easier. I’m so grateful to the cast and crew and especially my team who propped me up. Now… I’m Diving into the holiday season."
Stanley Tucci also stars in a prominent role in Citadel. Jack Reynor was recently added to the cast of the upcoming season. Joe Russo is also set to helm the second season, besides serving as an executive producer alongside Anthony Russo.
Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra star as Citadel agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh. After uncovering the sinister organization Manticore, led by the ruthless Dahlia (Lesley Manville), Kane suffers a catastrophic incident. Eight years later, Kane has assumed a new identity, Kyle Conroy, with his memories erased. However, his quiet life is disrupted when a former colleague (Stanley Tucci) reaches out for his assistance.
David Weil is also an executive producer and the showrunner of Citadel, an Amazon MGM Studios production. Citadel serves as a springboard for multiple series in different nations that will have some connection in terms of story and characters. An Italian show titled Citadel: Diana premiered on the streamer on October 10, whereas an Indian one Citadel: Honey Bunny recently premiered on November 6.
