Actor Chris Pratt got off to a bad start during the production of his upcoming science fiction film Mercy. The actor took to Instagram to share a couple of photographs that reveal the nature of his ankle injury. One of the photos shows his ankle in an elevated position and covered in an ice pack, and the other picture reveals his swollen ankle.

Mercy filming day 4,” Pratt wrote as the caption for his Instagram post. “I have such a great stunt team! AND I sometimes try to get in there and do some of my own stuff. Today, daddy caught a metal post to the ankle. Should be interesting moving forward," he added.

Pratt was part of the Los Angeles schedule for the film, which is slated for an August 25, 2025, release. In the most recent schedule, Pratt's LAPD detective chased a person in Malibu before the momentum took them to the sea. Timur Bekmambetov is directing the film based on a Marco van Belle screenplay. It follows Pratt's detective as he faces criminal charges and tries to prove that he is innocent in a futuristic world with a spike in capital crime. Rebecca Ferguson also plays a lead role in the film from Amazon MGM Studios. It also stars Kali Reis, Chris Sullivan, Annabelle Wallis Rafi Gavron, Kylie Rogers, and Kenneth Choi.
